POHA UPMA(Atukula Upma)



Poha---1 cup

Green chilies---3No's

Tomato---1 No

Onion---small one

Coriander Leaves---5No's

Mustard seeds---1 table spoon

Jeera---1 table spoon

Chanadal---1 table spoon

Curry Leaves---4No's

Turmeric---1/2 teaspoon

Oil---2 table spoon

Lemon juice---1/2 spoon

Ground Nuts---10 No's

Salt---to taste


1.Take a pan and add 2 spoons of oil.Add mustard seeds and let them crackle,add jeera,chanadal,curry leaves.add ground nuts and fry them.

2.Now add chopped onions,green chilies,tomatoes and fry them on a low flame.add turmeric,salt to taste.fry them nicely.

3.Take one cup of poha and soak it into water for not soak them much because they become very messy.

4.Remove the water and drain the saoked poha.

5.Add the poha to the above frying mixture and mix well.let them fry for 5min.

6.Finally,sprinkle lemon juice on it and garnish with coriander leaves.Serve Hot:)

Cut Mirchi(South Indian Spl)


Besan---1 cup

Green chilies (Big)---5 No's

Onion---1 small

Salt---1 Table spoon

Chili powder---1/2 Teaspoon

Baking soda---1/2 Teaspoon

Lime juice--- 1 Tablespoon

Coriander powder---1 Tablespoon

Oil---For deep frying

Coriander Leaves---5 No's


1. Take one bowl and add 1 cup besan.add salt,1/2 spoon chilli powder,baking soda.add water and make it into a batter

2.Take a pan and add oil for deep frying and put the stove in low flame and let that oil heat.

3.Now take chilies one by one and dip it into besan batter and deep fry in oil.fry it until they are golden brown.

4.Now take the fried chilies and cut them into small pieces. Now add those pieces again into pan and deepfry them again until they are brown and crispy.

5.Serve them into a plate.sprinkle the coriander powder on pieces.Garnish them with finely chopped onions and coriander leaves.finally add lime juice on them and serve hot.

Methi Leaves Pappu(Dal)


ToorDal---1 cup

Tomatoes---2 No's

Green Chilly---8No's

Brinjal (EggPlant small)---2No's

Methi Leaves---1 bunch

Tamarind---Small portion

Turmeric---1 Tablespoon

Salt---As per taste

Mustard seeds---1Tablespoon


Jeera---1 Tablespoon

Chana Dal---1Tablespoon

UradDal---1 Tablespoon


Curry Leaves


1.Take 1cup of toordal in a cooker and wash it properly.

2.Add two cups of water to toordal and add turmeric.

3.Now,add tamarind,green chillies according to taste.

4.Add tomatoes,brinjal pieces to that.

5.Now clean the methi bunch and chop methi leaves and add them to the mixture.Now close the cooker and put it on the stove and wait for 6 vissils.after that switchoff the stove and wait until it cool down.

6.After that,add salt to taste and mix and make it into a paste.

7.Now for tampering,take a small pan and pour 3 spoons of oil.allow it to heat and add mustard seeds,while mustard seeds crackles,add jeera ,chanadal,urad dal,curry leaves,garlic and let them fry.

8.Finally add the whole tampering to dal mixture.Most colourful and tasty methi leaves dal is ready.Enjoy the dish with hot rice and ghee:)

Mulakayya(Drumstick) tomato curry


  • Drumsticks---3 medium sized
  • Tomatoes---2 medium sized
  • Jeera---1 tbsp
  • Onion---1 (finely chopped)
  • Green chillies----4 to 5
  • Red chilli powder---1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder--1 tbsp
  • Tumeric powder--1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste--1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil

  • Preparation Method:
    • First peel the skin , wash the drumsticks and cut them into small pieces as shown below.
    • Now finely chop the onions,green chillies and tomatoes.
    • Take 3 tbsp of oil in a pan and let the oil get heated.
    • Now add the jeera, onions,green chillies and fry them.
    • After then add the tomatoes,ginger-garlic pastes and tumeric powder.Stir well and keep the flame low.
    • Now add the drum sticks and water if needed.Cover the pan with a lid and let them cooked for about 20 minutes.
    • After they are cooked add the red chilli powder,salt and coriander powder .Allow them to stay on a low flame for about 10 minutes and turn off the stove.
    • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.

Banana Halwa


  • Bananas - 4
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • cardamons - 4


  1. Peel and mash the bananas.
  2. Pour ghee into a nonstick pan, add the mashed bananas and roast for 10 min.
  3. Add the sugar and roast for another 10 min.
  4. Add the crushed cardamons.
  5. Take off the pan from stove and transfer the halwa into the greased plate.
  6. Spread and cut into squares or diamond shapes
